Ausschreibung des Werner-Creutzfeldt-Promotionsstipendiums 2025

Der Deutsche Pankreasclub möchte wissenschaftlich hochwertige medizinische oder naturwissenschaftliche Promotionsarbeiten mit pankreatologischem Fokus fördern und vergibt auch in diesem Jahr das mit 5.000 € dotierte Werner-Creutzfeldt-Promotionsstipendium. Die Mittel können, zum Beispiel, zur Unterstützung eines Forschungsfreisemesters während der Promotion, für einen Forschungsaufenthalt in einem auswärtigen Forschungslabor, oder auch zum Besuch einer internationalen Tagung mit eigenem Beitrag als Erstautorin/Erstautor verwendet werden.

Sie bearbeiten ein pankreatologisches Promotionsthema an einer deutschen Fakultät, haben einen medizinischen oder naturwissenschaftlichen Hintergrund und möchten sich wissenschaftlich weiterentwickeln?

Bewerbungen sind bis zum Freitag, 11.10.2024 an Frau PD Dr. Ivonne Regel, Vorstand des DPC e.V., zu richten. Erforderlich ist die Einreichung folgender Unterlagen (per E-Mail an ivonne.regel(at)med.lmu.de als eine Gesamtdatei im PDF-Format; max. 5 MB):

• Lebenslauf
• Motivationsschreiben
• Erläuterung des Promotionsvorhabens (inkl. Projekttitel) und ggf. bereits vorliegende erste Ergebnisse (500 Worte Maximum)
• Bestätigung des Betreuers und Empfehlung
• Immatrikulationsbescheinigung oder Nachweis der Anmeldung einer Promotionsarbeit

Die offizielle Preisverleihung erfolgt im Rahmen der 44. Jahrestagung des DPC, die vom 27.02.-01.03.2025 in Heidelberg stattfindet. Es wird erwartet, dass die Preisträgerin / der Preisträger Mitglied des Deutschen Pankreasclubs e.V. ist bzw. wird. Auch wird die Bereitschaft vorausgesetzt, über die Ergebnisse aus dem Einsatz des Stipendiums spätestens auf dem DPC 2026 zu berichten.

Announcement of the Werner Creutzfeldt Doctoral Scholarship 2025

The German Pancreas Club aims to promote high-quality science for medical or basic science doctoral research projects with a focus on pancreatology. This year, we are once again awarding the Werner Creutzfeldt Doctoral Scholarship, endowed with €5,000. The funding can be used, for example, to support a semester off during the doctorate, for a research stay in an external laboratory, or to attend an international conference with a personal contribution as the first author.

Are you working on a doctoral project in pancreatology at a German faculty, have a medical or basic science background, and want to further develop your scientific career?

Applications must be submitted by October 11, 2024, to Dr. Ivonne Regel, Chair of the DPC e.V. The following documents are required (submitted via email to ivonne.regel(at)med.lmu.de as a single PDF file; max. 5 MB):

• Curriculum vitae
• Cover letter
• Description of the doctoral project (incl. project title) and any preliminary results (maximum of 500 words)
• Confirmation and recommendation from the supervisor
• Certificate of enrollment or proof of registration of the doctoral project

The official award ceremony will take place during the 44th Annual Meeting of the DPC, which will be held in Heidelberg from February 27 to March 1, 2025. The recipient is expected to be or become a member of the German Pancreas Club e.V. Additionally, they are expected to report on the results obtained through the scholarship at the DPC 2026 at the latest.
